"This was the song that changed my life in the most unexpected and beautiful way........!
I'd had the idea for the lyric because I wanted to change the association of a bridge made of rainbows from its traditional esoteric symbol as the connection between life and death, to reverse that, and give it a meaning of life and hope, of moving from darkness to light and life.
Roger wrote the music, and later Danny Williams recorded it.
Then I met Paul Jacobs................... and he listened to various songs I'd written, getting to know some of the inner me, my 'inner team' through my writing.
I was sitting with him in our training room at The Dower House when he heard The Rainbow Bridge for the first time. ......
He listened intently, very still - and when it finished he played it again....... and again.......and yet again!
"That's it!", he said. "That's our metaphor for what we do as NLP Trainers and Coaches........! We help people fire sunbeams at their raindrops and create rainbows in their lives..!"
And so it became our theme song, played at our trainings; it became our symbol; our metaphor; and the name of our charity, The Rainbow Journey.
And that was the start of my amazing new journey in partnership with Paul in New Oceans, the beginning of my NLP story.........
So yes, this is the song that totally changed my life.... in the most incredibly wonderful way! "
